About this website:

This site was created to assist 9th grade biology students and their parents with the course content of Biology 1.  From the blue unit tabs (left), supporting materials such as images, downloads, videos, and other links are accessed to enhance the subject matter and provide another venue for learning.

The following links lead to documents that are the mandated state standards for instruction for this biology course.  Though more than this will be taught in this course, these main ideas will be on unit tests and the EOC (End-of-Course final exam).  Use this to help you learn.
Biology 1 teachers follow these standards closely, as should you.

Costa Rica! Spring Break 2012  Register now...

We're planting trees!

Rock Hill HS needs new trees.  Volunteer students and teachers planted 39 new shade trees on Saturday, January 28!  We'd like to get more trees to plant (the campus can take another 100+)

We need help from you.  If you know of a source of trees that we can access for a discount, can leverage your connection with a potential donor for funding, or can fund a tree or two yourself, please contact Mr. Blankenship at jblanken@rhmail.org

"The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago.  The next best time is NOW."  -African proverb
